St. Edmund sets itself apart from other K-9 schools in the Greater Edmonton area as a center for excellence in academics and athletics. Not only is St. Edmund a fully accredited IB (International Baccalaureate) World School, it is also recognized for the exceptionally high quality of its sports academies. These programs prepare the students of today to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
St. Edmund is the north side site for the Primary and Middle Years International Baccalaureate (IB) Programs. The IB programs are internationally recognized for their academic rigor and emphasis on helping students to become active learners, well-rounded, internationally-minded individuals, and engaged world citizens. Each student at St. Edmund is an IB learner.
The Sports Academies at St. Edmund are designed to challenge and inspire students to develop the physical and mental skills they need to excel in their chosen sport. St. Edmund offers Hockey, Soccer and Recreation Academies, as well as an Alternative Athletics program for students who train at an elite level in sports not offered through one of our academies.
